Camera Friendly
Arriflex film cameras are designed to work best at 26.4
volts. Lentequip batteries are 26.4 volts. (They are also
switchable to 13.2 volts which is handy for the older 12v
Arri cameras).
Traditional New Zealand batteries are either 24 volts or 30
volts. 24 volts is not able to run a 435 at 150 FPS, so it
is pointless. 30 volts, when fully charged can actually
damage a 435 camera and a lot of accessories can also be
effected. This can get expensive to fix... real fast.
Assistant Friendly
The Lentequip Batteries used by Queenstown Camera Batteries
Ltd output 26.4 volts. They have a capacity indicator on
the front , so the assistant can visually see how the
battery is progressing throughout the day. When there is
only 20% charge left, it can be swapped for a fresh block.
There is now no excuse for running out of power on a
critical shot. Also no need to lug a pile of batteries up a
hill for a single shot.
Producer Friendly
Shipping
Flying heavy batteries to Queenstown is expensive, time
consuming and stressful. Many airlines impose strict
conditions on how batteries are carried. Save yourself the
cost and rent them locally.
Reliable
These kits are made for the harsh alpine environment . If
you are shooting in the mountains these batteries will not
let you down.
The batteries contain NiCad cells. NiCad cells work really
well at low temperatures (ie snow) when traditional lead
acid cells start to fail.
The batteries are rented out in kits. One kit for one
camera. All required cables are included.
The batteries are light. Each battery weighs 6 kg’s. They
are easy to move around with.
